We want to feel confident in this NFT, we really do, because we always root for the creatives. We are hoping it’s just still early and more solid facts will come out before their mint date in a couple of weeks.

Take a dive into the My Own World NFT collection of 7,007 unique NFTs that live on the Ethereum blockchain, and in doing so, you’ll follow the life of a character named Stanley who was born with a special gift. This NFT collection is centered around a community-driven comic story.

Details about the rest of the story are a bit fuzzy, but from what we can tell, Stanley might possibly be the last man standing on earth(?) and tries to remedy his loneliness by designing creatures to live amongst him in a parallel universe. These creatures, called Slimes, have escaped into the universe, causing loads of chaos.

Will these hectic creatures be a help or a hindrance? Has Stanley filled his parallel universe with good or evil? (Cue nail-biting suspense music.)

NFT holders who demonstrate their true fan base by interacting positively in the discord will get the chance to win a special, animated, non-generative NFT, called a MOWpass. The MOWpass grants holders access to an alpha discord channel where their participation is “pivotal” to the storyline. They may also receive advanced compensations (though the details on this are not elaborate) and access to limited collections. The MOWpass is ultimately needed in order to gain a WL spot that will then allow holders to mint either a Genesis or Base collection MOW nft (Genesis comes with special traits) and give free access to the comic book. Again, details are not clear…beyond the fact that the Genesis nft is more rare, no other info is given regarding the differences between Base and Genesis.

Holders are also privy to virtual and real giveaways, like clothing, experiences, and “other surprises.” Also on the list, for phase two, is a physical and digital board game, quarterly comic series, and physical meetups with a country-inspired collector NFT.

Let’s be real here, the website and art appeal is DOPE. Co-founder and artist Inkart Luis is a true talent; absolutely incredible. Each nft is dripping with details that give multi-dimensional character, and those who desire a good story line — and even better art — might be interested in joining the discord to help the crew make storyline decisions and make this project the best it can be. And it does seem like the MOW team is searching for exactly that — fans that are genuinely invested.

We like the light-hearted, creative vibe we get when we look at all the details…from the gorgeous website, the interactive capabilities, and the incredible details of each NFT. We just wish we felt a bit more confident in the details. Are the details purposely vague…waiting on the discord to help decide Stanley’s fate and the future of this project? Or does the MOW team just not know yet what the full roadmap will be all about?

My Own World NFT doesn’t have a huge following on twitter (2,300), but the project is fully doxxed. João Texieira is the co-founder and creative lead. Joao Rangel is co-founder and blockchain developer, and Jorge Freitas, a software engineer, is also the project’s blockchain developer. We really like the team’s full black-and-white photos to match their descriptions. It brings a professional look to their website.

It’s too bad that the information supplied by the project’s team is a tad disjointed and vague, whether that be purposeful or not. MOW’s premise is intriguing enough that we want to know more. A lot more. Their website, though very cool, is a bit hard to navigate and could really use a copywriter/editor. We want to feel confident in this NFT, we really do, because we always root for the creatives. We are hoping it’s just still early and more solid facts will come out before their mint date in a couple of weeks.
