The Rubber Ducky Bath Party, a lighthearted nft project of 10,000 randomly-generated yellow rubber duckies, is set to drop March 1st. Even if you claim to be a shower person, this one looks like a 4:20 party you may not want to miss.

Gal Shir is the artist, and his palette for the duckys is bright and playful. We kept fielding strange feelings of déjà vu — is it because Shir’s art is mildly reminiscent of Matt Groenig’s (creator/writer of The Simpons) style? We’ll let you decide.

We were pretty stoked to go onto their website and find that “Rubber Ducky Anthem,” by Rafaël Frost, is playing in the background. They’ve also got cute little chirps and clucks that happen when you click on FAQ or click to get directed to their discord. Nice touch, nice touch.

Another fun thing about this project is that each duck is dynamic, or has the ability to evolve over time. To what degree your duck will change depends on how many parties it attends. These added traits may even be rare, making your duck more valuable. Parties will be announced on Twitter or Discord. Does it cost gas to go to a party? Nope! But you will need to connect your wallet to your duck to verify your ownership. After that, party on dudes!

The Rubber Ducky Party Team seems to be a pretty motivated crew with some legit skills looking to combine art, music, game play, and community in different ways to create newness and depth within the nft scene. They’ve got someone in charge of the art (Gal Shir), tech (Jishai), party (Lazy Lizzy), and music (Rafaël Frost).

To find out how to win a spot on their “pregame” list in order to join the invite-only discord and go to all the parties all the cool ducks go to, find your way to their discord or twitter page. If you don’t win a spot on the presale list, you can go to the public sale on March 2. That is, if there are any ducks left.

Their twitter, at 19.4K followers, shows they’ve got what it takes to generate some excitement, either by their own activity within the tech/music/gaming community, or their own page management, or both.

All-in-all, the Rubber Ducky Bath Party seems to be a fun, think-outside-the-box nft project worth a second look. Their closed discord and the ability for the ducks to change and evolve over time has us battling those pesky FOMO vibes. This might be something to keep an eye on in the next coming weeks.
